So byte addressing supports card storing capacities upto 2 GB whereas sector addressing supports cards storing capacitites upto 2 TB. As per recent standard limits the largest capacity of a sdhc card is found to be 32 Gb in the market. One should know that hte sdhc card do not operates in such devices those made for previous sd 1.x specification. So sdhc trademark has license in the market for assuring compatibility of the product in the market.

The processing of sdhc was completed in 2006 but the moment it was about to launched in the market the non-standard high-capacity sd cards already getting used by the consumers.
